    Posted In Daytime Provision

ASA can support individuals over 18 years of age, who have a learning disability, physical disability, older person or people who have lived experience of Mental Health who wish to remain or become part of their chosen community.
Day Time Provision is a support service which is designed around the individual person, and the support is on a 1:1 basis where a positive and trusting relationship can be formed. Support is provided to achieve short term outcomes as well as providing long term support for an individual.

Short Term Intensive Support Case Study

One such short term support was a project working with client A, who had lived experience of mental health, whereby six weeks of intensive work enabled the client to successfully enter long term employment. Careful planning with the client identified the following tasks:-

    • Support to attend the job interview and within the interview itself.
    • Support with the morning routine of getting up and ready with a pack up lunch and travel to work on time.
    • Attending work, signing in, using their employee locker and working through their day at work and supporting communications with their employer.
    • Support with end of working day routine, washing clothes and ensuring the next day’s lunch pack up is planned.

After the initial 6 weeks ASA continued to stay in touch with the client and their employer. For the following three months ASA provided adhoc support as required.

At the end of the project client A remained in employment with the company and continued to live independently.
