This year we chose Woody’s Bar at Woodthorpe Leisure Park for our Christmas party. There were 35 of us – a really good turn out from our clients and providers. The dining room was wonderfully festive with a beautiful Christmas tree.
Our Christmas dinner was delicious, the staff were great and very attentive – even though we kept them waiting as a couple of our Providers went to the wrong venue!
The disco kept everyone entertained for the rest of the afternoon with Laura, John and Damian in particular strutting their stuff on the dancefloor.
Once again, we had a raffle with some generous contributions. Thanks to all who donated, it is appreciated. The money raised has gone into our area social fund, which now stands at over £110!
A fantastic Christmas cake, made and decorated by Gill Lamming, was auctioned off to the highest bidder. A bidding war started between Barbara and Tony, but Barbara was the ultimate victor who took the cake home. Hope you enjoyed it Barbara!
Claire, Sandi and Roz were exhausted at the end of the day, but are looking forward to the next event. If any of our providers or clients have an idea for something fun for us to do in the Summer, please let us know.
