Spriteleys is one of the resources provided by ASA that aims to bring together elderly and vulnerable people in a community day centre setting. It enables otherwise isolated people to come together, have lunch, interact and socialise through organised activities, crafts and games.
Recently, the Monday and Wednesday groups, led by Group Coordinator, Erica Dowse, decided to organise some events to raise funds for the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance. They held various ‘bring and buy’ sales, table top sales and raffles and by the time it was all over the two groups had managed to raise a splendid £114. It was a first class effort by everyone concerned and Jeannie Priest from Ambucopter was very happy to attend a small presentation in front of the groups and take receipt of the cheque from ASA’s Community Support Coordinator, Troy Melvin.
