“My father loves attending Spriteleys in Grantham on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. He’s a people person and really enjoys the sociability of the meetings, but at the age of 91 and with a short-term memory that isn’t great he needs a fair bit of help. He very much appreciates the kindness of those in charge and the structured activities they organize. The Spriteleys meetings are the high points of his week.” – Mr I Rumbold, 15th June 2016
“I have been to see Jean Wood this afternoon and just wanted to say how happy she was after being out with Julie. She couldn’t recall exactly where she went but described a walk and getting wet. Please would you pass on to Julie how much it means to Jean; she was a different person and lovely to see her smiling. I also like the diary idea because it helps others working with Jean to know what she has been doing. I took her to the solicitor about 3pm and on the way back she said “It’s been a lovely day” so the memory/feeling of having enjoyed herself was still with her.” – Eithne Woodcock, Social Worker, 16th June 2016
