My name is Marjore I live in Louth. On Friday 25th September Gill my Day Time Provider and I joined the East Coast and Wolds Area Social Event with other providers and clients for a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Charity. The event was held at Fairfield Enterprise Centre in Louth and was also open to the public. Sandi and her team of helpers had been busy baking lots and lots of cakes and biscuits.
It was really good to meet up and have a drink and cake knowing it was all for a good cause, cake always tastes better when its shared with friends. We had a go on the tombola and won plenty of prizes. Before we went home we brought some cakes from the cake stall, the lemon drizzle and the flap jack melted in your mouth. The event was a great success and raised £431.54 for Macmillan Cancer Charity. It was a lovely relaxed social which was well supported.
