On Friday 6 June at the Grosvenor Hotel in London, Trixie Bennett, CEO for Adults Supporting Adults (ASA) was awarded one of the top ten spots as a National Great British Innovator in care! This was just a few months after ASA scooped 1st place as Innovator in Care at the East Midlands GB care awards.

The judges paid tribute to her hard work and said:

“This award was to recognise the persons who has shown exceptional entrepreneurial skills in identifying, developing, implementing and establishing a new service that demonstrates benefits for those cared for.

Trixie is often commended as being ‘trail blazing’ in the care industry. Via her charity Adults Supporting Adults, she has launched several exceptional projects to support vulnerable adults. Each project, a result of National pressures & an acute understanding of this community. Each response, commercially speedy & innovative in its implementation.

What Trixie and her team have done is amazing, their innovation alone is worthy of nationalisation. The judges unanimously chose Adults Supporting Adults as the winner of this category as Trixie’s passion and commitment shone through.

These awards recognise and pay tribute to the efforts and dedication of all those who work tirelessly to ensure that so many people are able to live independent lives in their own home. They are the perfect showcase to reflect on best practice in the social care sector. A sector where people truly dedicate themselves to their work and take pride in their achievements.”

Also attending the evening was TV star Esther Rantzen who was supporting ASA said:

“It was a brilliant evening! And I was thrilled to be on your table.”

ASA are often commended for their work in the care community locally and area now gaining National recognition.
